Our approach: How we work

Intake & Screening

After receiving your CV and motivation, our recruitment team will contact you within 24 hours to schedule an introductory conversation. During this conversation, we discuss your technical experience, diplomas and certifications, your wishes, and our way of working. Together, we determine whether there is a good match.

Proposal to the client

Was the conversation positive for both parties? Then we look for the workshop that best matches your profile and experience. Within 24 hours after the interview, you will receive a job offer with all the details about your potential new workplace.

Onboarding

Are you excited about the job offer? Then we start the full onboarding process. We arrange contract discussion and signing, and guide you through all the preparations such as travel planning, documentation, housing, and any necessary training or certification (such as NEN 9140/VOP or VCA).

Arrival & start in the Netherlands

Your trip is booked, your housing is arranged, and you have received all the necessary information. You are ready to get started in the workshop. Even after your arrival, our team remains available to support you with any questions and practical matters.

At NextStop Europe, we're looking for mechanics who take pride in their trade and want to contribute to reliable Dutch public transport, from classic maintenance to the latest electric drivetrains.

Commercial Vehicle Technician (BAT)

You ensure that buses, coaches, and commercial vehicles can safely and reliably hit the road every day. Periodic maintenance, repairs to chassis, bodywork, and drivetrain, and resolving electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults are all part of your daily work. On zero-emission vehicles, if certified, you'll also work on the high-voltage components.

What we ask of you:

MBO working and thinking level
An affinity for modern technology
A diploma in automotive/commercial vehicle technology, or willing to obtain one
NEN 9140 (NEN 3140 for trolleybuses), VOP-certified or willing to obtain this
Driving license D, or willing to obtain one
VCA certificate, or willing to obtain one

Diagnostic Technician

When faults get complicated, you're the one who gets to the bottom of the problem. You analyze complex electrical systems and vehicle diagnostics, work independently with diagnostic software, and support colleagues with tricky issues in the workshop.

What we ask of you:

MBO+/HBO working and thinking level
Experience with electrical systems and/or vehicle diagnostics
Comfortable with diagnostic software and fault analysis
A precise and analytical mindset

EV Mechanic

The shift to electric transport calls for new knowledge and skills. As an EV mechanic, you take that step: you maintain and repair electric drivetrains and high-voltage systems, and grow along with the sustainability transition of Dutch public transport.

What we ask of you:

MBO in electrical engineering
Willing to make the switch from traditional to electric maintenance
An affinity for high-voltage technology and safety (NEN 9140)

Not fully certified yet? We work with training partners and place mechanics in training with employers who actively invest in new talent.
